  After talking to four (or five?) companies abouyt replacing or repairing the siding on our 40 yr old house, we selected Universal. They were the *only* company who were willing to do a repair rather than a full replacement, even though all the companies agreed that the siding didn't really need to be fully replaced. That's a cost difference of around $40k. When it came time to do the replacement, they discovered that the newer siding was slightly smaller than the old, and were concerned that it would not match properly. They came up with a great solution (fully replacing all siding on dormers and using some of that for repair) that was more work and more time consuming for them, but they did not change their original quote/rate. They did a fantastic job with the work. The whole process was easy, the workers were all friendly, and Evan (owner?) is really nice guy and very easy to work with. Always on time, too. I wish they did other types of work, I'd hire them in a heartbeat for more. If you need siding, a roof, anything like that, call Universal Roofing. - Adina
  You told me four years ago,“not if but when” well last year came! (The four day monsoon)so I tried to follow the rules and it took 7 weeks to get one signature (next door neighbor) he was never available to sign the permission form! Which took me into the cold weather. So finally I bit the bullet and contacted Evan (Universal Roofing) he did all the Brownstones leg work and finally I was given permission to stop the water falls in my bed room! What a team he had working on my place!!!! It was like watching Teslas being built! Except there was breathing going on. Each guy had their own job, and actually knew what they were doing from beginning to end My God what a first class job they did! Unbelievable, so many steps to the perfected process you wouldn’t imagine! Done with perfection! I wanted to shop around to see if I could save money but my gut and you said I should use Evan, so common sense prevailed! Probably the only correct decision I made this year.
